Dr. Reed performed successful macular hole surgery on my right eye and torn retina surgery on my left eye. He was always transparent & upfront about what to expect. My first visit to Dr. Reed was in the summer of 2025 after recent cataract surgery. A “Pucker” had been discovered during that operation and exam process. Dr. Reed performed a multitude of tests along with his great staff. Since I had just had surgery I elected to wait six months to see if the conditioned improved or worsened. After the six months Dr. Reed reexamined my eye and found no improvement. It was my decision at that point to proceed with the vitrectomy. He explained the procedure and what to expect, both pro and con. Dr. Reed performed the surgery and within one week my vision was much better than it had been in several years. There was no pain, swelling or other side effects that I had read about. The follow up exams were also first class.

Dr Reed is compassionate, knowledgeable, gentle, and very calming. He did surgery on my right eye for a macular hole and answered every question I had and did every follow up himself. His bedside manner is impeccable and he is for lack of a better word is kind. I would trust him to care for my daughter which says a lot!!!

I recently had my second detached retina. My regular doctor was on vacation so because of the urgency of my condition I was assigned to a new doctor, Dr Reed. Among other things I found his communication style excellent making me feel comfortable and confident of a successful outcome. The operation was a success and his post-op protocols were much easier than the first time. I'm not sure if the protocols regarding recovery have changed since my first operation in 2018, regardless it was much easier this time. Obviously I highly recommend Dr Reed.

I had a totally detached retina and required emergency surgery. The surgery was high risk because my other eye is prosthetic. The odds for recovering full vision were 1 per cent. Four years later, I am still enjoying 20 20 vision. Dr. Reed's expertise and commitment were key to my recovery.
